Forensic Links

So where should you start?

While this site offers a lot of good links for getting you started, you really need to get a book on the field that interests you and go from there. It's the only thing that can offer the depth you really need to make a good choice. Fortunately, there's a lot of good books out there, and pretty inexpensive, too.

The For Dummies books are some of the best first-stop books out there, and the forensics one by Doug Lyle is no exception. The author, a physician and forensics expert, looks at a number of the fields we've talked about here, with an eye toward understandable descriptions of the science involved in CSI.
